ROUNDING THE HEAPS

In the controlled public space within the city of Helsinki I look for anomalies and disturbances. I ask to use them as a gate to the familiar. I sanctify the disturbance through documentation. Three-dimensional mappings of the scenes are collected by circling them in a methodical routine. The focus is on piles of snow and gravel that mark the end of the winter season. I see this as a unique phenomena where huge ugly and slippery piles block traffic and disrupt order, even if only for a few weeks.
